OTS:

The Gorman-Rupp Company was founded in 1933 during the worst depression in U.S. history. It was during this year that J.C. Gorman and H.E. Rupp, two enterprising engineers from Mansfield, Ohio, pooled $1,500 – along with other considerable talents and fortitude – and began a pump manufacturing business within the walls of a barn on the outskirts of town. They were well aware that any business starting out in 1933 would face extreme hardships if not utter failure, so they had to carefully devise a strategic business plan, to ensure their ultimate success.
The Gorman-Rupp mission was simple: to establish a line of the superior products and—only when they were positive that their success was inevitable—they would enter the pumping business with the best, most efficient products available. The plan worked, and since then Gorman-Rupp has established itself as a premier leader in water pumps of every type, from the smallest basement sump pumps, to some of the largest custom-built pumps available.
Today Gorman-Rupp Industries has several high-quality divisions and subsidiaries for water pumps, including American Machine and Tool Company. (AMT), the Patterson Pump Company, Gorman-Rupp of Canada Unlimited, and IPT Pumps. Gorman-Rupp has also established a high-speed delivery system, entitled “Off-The-Shelf” or “OTS,” through which products are shipped almost immediately from the supplier to the customer. With OTS, products can be shipped the same day, ensuring a much higher level of customer satisfaction per order.

Truck Freight Additional Information:
This product is too heavy/large to ship via the small package delivery services (e.g. UPS, FedEx) so it will be sent to you via truck freight. Truck freight is different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail in that you will be responsible for carrying the product from the back of the truck into your house (or wherever it's going).
The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.
If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.
