30 amp 125/250 volt manual transfer switch for traffic signals in new semi-flush mount enclosure. This is first transfer switch for traffic signals that can be recessed into traffic pedestal equipment through a standard 9 x 4-1/4 cutout, greatly reducing the risk of vandalism. The enclosure incorporates J channel construction and a heavy duty gasket to keep out precipitation, and a #2 keyed lock on the door keeps the transfer switch free from tampering while allowing local government personnel to access the box using a common key. Each transfer switch includes a generator breaker and utility breaker mechanically interlocked to prevent both the generator and utility from feeding the signal at the same time and a power inlet for generator cord connection. A ground post is incorporated into the enclosure, and a 1-1/8 hole is provided on the back to accommodate wiring to the traffic signal. Ideal for new traffic pedestal installations, this transfer switch can be installed at any point in the implementation process -- by the pedestal manufacturer, systems integrator or traffic control and public works staff. All wires are included for fast, easy connection to the internal wiring of the traffic signal, so installation takes less than an hour.
